Home and actions

• A Home screen organized by job: eight picture cards and six more actions, one click from a result
• An Actions menu that works before any document is open, and an Actions section in the editor's right panel
• Actions that cannot run on the open document are disabled, with the reason in the tooltip

Photo tools

• After Upscale, Remove Background, Auto-Enhance, Redact or Beautify, a banner says what changed, compares with the picture just before that job, and suggests the next step
• Redact acts on the only image layer instead of asking for a selection, and moved to the Image menu
• AI Generate works again, after OpenAI retired the model it used
• A background removal is no longer saved under the name "Auto-Enhance"

Languages and accessibility

• Fully translated again in all seven languages, with shorter idiomatic terms where labels were cut off; German and Spanish now address you informally throughout
• Five pickers (Beautify gradients, frames, collage layouts, the mask thumbnail, filters) now work from the keyboard

Settings

• The Update tab is gone: its options had no effect. Check for Updates in the SnapStudio menu works as before

Agents

• Connect AI on Home opens the setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex and other MCP agents

Photo tools

• Background removal cleans the edge: no green fringe left in hair and fur, and less of the ground shadow under the subject. New Edge Cleanup and Remove Color Fringe controls
• Auto-enhance removes color casts instead of adding them, brings back contrast in flat light, and leaves sunsets alone
• Beautify corners and shadows scale with the screenshot, so they stay visible on retina captures, and the preview matches the result

Templates

• Five layout archetypes across six formats (square, 4:5, story, 16:9, link and banner) now lead the gallery: 174 new layouts, 305 built-ins in total, nothing removed
• A before/after family: 576 layouts from one design
• The seven classic social templates redesigned around a real image slot
• A Mac App Store screenshot family for the ASO pack
